Residential Private Line

Our Local Access Line is for one residential access line to a person's home for non-business use. This service enables local calling in the Monroe Telephone service area. This service also includes access to long distance calling and extended area service calling. One directory listing is included.

Monroe Telephone Company EAS includes calls to Eugene, Alpine, Bellfountain, Springfield and Junction City.

Emergency Access Line is an emergency 911 telephone line that allows incoming phone calls. It also allows Extended Area Service Calling.

Telephone Assistance - Lifeline

Everyone should have access to quality, affordable telecommunications services. Oregonians at or below the current federal poverty level and on a state public assistance program may receive a reduction in their monthly bill for local residential telephone service.

Lifeline Across America is a federal program for those who require aid in affording telecommunications service. With Lifeline Across America, qualifying parties receive up to a $9.25 monthly credit on their bill.

Eligible customers will also receive a special reduction in their monthly bill as part of the Oregon Telephone Assistance Program.To obtain an application form or for more information, please call the Oregon Public Utility Commission toll free at 1.800.848.4442 or 503.373. 7171. Also, application forms are available at our office. All inquiries and applicant information will be kept strictly confidential.
